A message from Dr. Mestas:

The Mestas Meter is a subjective assessment tool addressing qualities I've tried to understand and observe in myself and in colleagues during 21 years of medical practice. It's not a measure of clinical skill or quality, nor does it directly correlate to practice success. It does correlate to practice satisfaction, happiness and those intrinsic rewards for which we all entered the medical profession.

You can self score the Mestas Meter. If you do, the more checked boxes you have in the center or right columns the better. It can be a good introspective tool to uncover some of the areas that may be causing you dissatisfaction. It can also help you categorize the areas of your practice that provide particular joy.

If you'd like to review your Mestas Meter with me, please complete the information below and click "Submit," and I'll be happy to schedule a consult to discuss your results. There is no charge for this service.

All my best,

T. Robert Mestas, MD
